YOU!

Y: Yourself

O: Outstanding

U: Unique

Don’t compare yourself to others. It is a bad, unintentional habit, but we all do it. We always want what we can’t have. If you think about it, some people would love to be you and have YOUR life; people look up to you, people you wouldn’t even think about. We can’t always have everything we want; however, we can be the best version of ourselves, which in the end will make us happier with our life and essentially our future. So be YOU… be Yourself, be Outstanding, and be Unique!!

Make everyday great, while just being YOU!

MELT Method

Delta Pilates is proud to announce that we now offer MELT Method classes!

So what exactly is the MELT Method?

The MELT Method® (MELT®) is a simple self-treatment that reduces chronic pain and helps you stay healthy, youthful, and active for a lifetime. Just 10 minutes of MELT three times a week is all you need to begin reducing the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living.

New research has revealed the missing link to pain-free living: a balanced nervous system and healthy connective tissue. These two components work together to provide your body support and optimal mind-body communication. MELT directly addresses these two systems of your body in a way no other self-treatment can, including diet and exercise. You’ll see and feel results in the first session. The ultimate goal of MELT is to improve your body’s ability to restore balance and repair itself, which can create remarkable, lasting changes. MELT offers natural pain relief, allowing you to address the true cause of chronic pain, not just mask the symptoms.

MELT was created by New York City manual therapist and connective tissue specialist Sue Hitzmann. Using specialized techniques, a soft body roller, and four different balls, MELT is designed to reconnect whole-body communication, rebalance the nervous system, rehydrate the connective tissue, and release compression in joints.

Welcome, Kayla!

Mondays can make or break the week for the next few workdays ahead. So why not start the week with a class of Pilates taught by the wonderful and experienced, Alexis Marsh?

Today is my first day as the front desk receptionist at Delta Pilates. Currently, Alexis is in the middle of a session with a client and it is amazing to see how each class she teaches for the clients are personal for them and them only. She truly cares about each of her clients and asks them how they are feeling often during the session to ensure the exercises are not too hard but not too easy. Her voice is very soothing, which makes the clients feel relaxed, even if they exercises are more challenging than others.

Going back to what I said earlier, making “sure the exercises are not too hard or too easy,” however, there is not such thing as “too easy” of a workout. The client chooses the effectiveness of their session. This is very interesting to me; it all comes down to the mentality of each client. They can choose to give it all or to give it up; the teacher will never give up. With that being said, always give 110% and never give up!

I can’t wait to see what more I’ll learn here at Delta Pilates!
