Molr Carbon & Coconut Teeth Whitening Powder

If I’m not drinking carbonated water then there is either a cup of coffee or a glass of red wine nearby. Even though I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day I still feel as though my teeth could be whiter.

So I have decided to give Molr’s Carbon & Coconut Teeth Whitening Powder a try. (I debated for a long time about before and after photos but I cannot stand looking at photos of myself. So Instead you have a pretty accurate photo of a very brave and nameless woman.) Why did I decide to try this instead of something easy like whitening strips? I have no idea and after my first use of this toothpaste I did consider it.

Molr’s Carbon & Coconut Teeth Whitening Powder is made from organic coconut shell and activated charcoal. The packaging is cute and toothbrush is a pretty teal and has very soft dark grey bristles. The packaging very clearly warns that this will get messy. Please pay attention to this warning! I did not. I had clean the basin and vanity. Twice.

I guess I hadn’t really thought this through or realized how much of a mess I make when I brush my teeth. Everything turned black. My teeth, my lips, my hands, my sink…. It is probably a good thing I wear black pajamas.

It looked like the middle photo, but this woman is a much neater tooth brusher than I am. I rinsed my mouth for a good three minutes until the water was clear again and then smiled at myself in the mirror. I almost screamed! My gums were still grey and it looked like I had not flossed my teethe in 25 years! I spent another 10 minutes flossing, brushing my teeth with my electric toothbrush, and rinsing until I could smile without scaring myself.

This morning went much better, I used a smaller amount of the powder and was much more careful in handling the powder and trying to keep my mouth closed while brushing. It still made a mess, but it was much easier to clean up. I used my normal electric toothbrush after.

I have to admit that my teeth feel super clean! We will have to wait and see if I (or anyone else) notices that my teeth are whiter.
