The holiday season is here again! Now what?

Let's be honest, we have all had quite a ride over the past two years. It seems like we have had two steps forward and one step back (or more) while we try our best to navigate the world. I know many of us feel like we just get our routines back to normal only to have them shaken up again.

One of the areas that we are often asked about is how to best maintain a routine during busy holiday seasons so here are a few pieces of advice:

  1. Establish a routine and stick to your fitness appointments the same way you would with anything else on the calendar.
  2. Carve out a reasonable amount of time and hyper-specific goals. Think of this process as making baby steps towards progress. While it may not reasonable to commit to an hour on the treadmill every day, for example, it may be perfectly doable to take 2 brisk 15 minute walks around the neighborhood before and after work.
