Alexis Marsh comes to Pilates and personal training with a love of movement and expression. Since she was a child, Alexis has always enjoyed dancing and the performing arts. Alexis studied Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Musical Theater for over twenty years. She was awarded the American Academy of Ballet’s Silver Medal two consecutive years and was a featured dancer for the School of the Garden State Ballet.

When her passion for dance led to an injury, Alexis looked to Pilates to help her recover and keep her "dancer's body" while finally having the benefit of pain-free movement experience. After years of experience with mat Pilates, Alexis became mat certified in April 2008. She discovered the joy of teaching and sharing her practice with others and pursued her Comprehensive Training. In September 2012, Alexis achieved her Teacher Trainer certification. In 2014, Alexis made the final steps in pursuing her aspirational dream of owning a Pilates Studio and opened Delta Pilates in Scottsdale, Arizona. Alexis draws on her personal experiences to deepen her teaching practice and she uses a keen eye for body alignment to help her clients achieve their optimal results.

Alexis is a Pilates Method Alliance® Certified Personal Trainer. The PMA® is the only third-party certifying body and professional association for Pilates instructors. Alexis is a Level 1 MELT Method® instructor. She has completed the NASM® personal training course of study and specializes in total body cross-functional training, and is also TRX Suspension Certified.

Alexis specializes in special cases, including clients with pre-existing injuries, movement restrictions, pre- and post-natal, weight loss and management, and clients with an advanced age looking for a safe and effective workout. Alexis has extensive experience working with clients who have various forms of Dysautonomia, and has worked with PTs and doctors on best practices and a targeted routine to help manage symptoms. She also has experience with elite athletes ranging from NFL and MLB players to Olympic athletes to collegiate athletes to marathoners and triathletes looking to complement their current training regimen. Alexis has worked with many golfers looking to increase their potential on the course (and has coached several players who have then shot a hole-in-one!).

Outside of teaching, Alexis is quite the foodie and can always be found cooking nutritious and healthy recipes. Her personal mantra is "You can have it all, just not all at once," emphasizing moderation and a love for fitness. She spends her free time with her husband and their fur-kids.

Mickey Cantor

Mickey Cantor

B.A., Certified Pilates Instructor, L.M.T., AFAA Personal Trainer & Certified Yoga Instructor

Mickey was born in New York but moved to Boulder, Colorado at the age of eight. "Learning to ski, ride horses, and hike in the Flatiron Mountains was part of growing up. I was exposed to all kinds of movement, from tennis to yoga." Mickey was first introduced to Pilates after a debilitating back injury from a snowboarding accident in 2001. After various treatments and rehabilitation, Pilates was the only thing kept her moving, pain-free, and helped her retrain her body for movement for daily activities. "I love the fact that Pilates is a healing art. It makes my body feel great and has made me vigilant about mind-body awareness. Looking great comes with feeling great and engaging my brain during my training makes me feel both! My goal is to help clients reach an awareness in their bodies and get the results they want with a minimum amount of pain."

Mickey graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Broadcasting and became comprehensively certified in Pilates Mat and Apparatus from the PhysicalMind Institute in 2004. She has spent countless hours on continuing education: In 2006 Mickey graduated with a certificate in Massage Therapy from the Florida College of Natural Health, and became nationally certified. In 2007 she started her Yoga certification through YogaFit, and recently completed her 200 Hour teacher training at Inner Vision Yoga in Chandler, AZ. "Yoga teacher training was a life changing experience. I now have an understanding of my yoga practice that's so much deeper, and my Pilates practice has expanded because I can see how it all began."

Teri Neumann

Teri Neumann

Teri has always valued fitness in her own life, and finds it extremely rewarding to help others achieve a balanced and fit lifestyle. While she enjoys working with people at all levels of fitness, she especially finds herself drawn to those who are novices to making a decision to get, and stay, healthy.

After being in administration for several years, Teri returned to school at Arizona State University and graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 2009. While performing ultrasounds in a local hospital, she realized her passion was to be proactive in helping people live healthier lifestyles to avoid chronic illness and disease. It was then that Teri decided to pursue becoming an NASM – CPT certified personal trainer and Peak Pilates Comprehensive Level II certified.

While Teri's personal exercise regimen had been mainly focused on resistance training, she found the balance she had been missing when she took her first Pilates class. She immediately developed a passion for the practice, and soon after it became very evident that Pilates was the best way for her to reach out and help others achieve the strength, stamina, stability, and stretch that is so important to a balanced body.

With her education in both dance and Psychology, Jennifer has a true appreciation for the mind-body connection. She began working with clients who were in rehabilitative environments as well as clients with multiple sclerosis. During this work, she developed a love for strengthening the muscles that support the spine and how to translate that into visible results for her clientele. In 2007, Jennifer began working full time as a rehabilitation Pilates specialist by training pre- and post- surgical clients throughout their entire rehabilitative process. Jennifer loves people and believes that we are given one body and that we should not only take care of it, but get to know it and make it strong.
